Get started with CabCard Go
Install the app and start accepting contactless payments on your Android phone

Introduction
CabCard Go is the all-in-one mobile app designed to help taxi and private hire drivers manage their business on the go.
With CabCard Go:
- You can access important account features
- Connect with customers
- Take payments
- Complete tasks without needing multiple apps or websites.
Below are instructions on how to get it up and running:
Setup
Note: you will need an Android device running version 10 or higher. Unfortunately the app does not support devices below this version.
- Download the CabCard Taxi Payments app from the Google Play Store Download now
- Log in using your email address and password.
- These credentials will have been provided to you when you first signed up to CabCard.
- They are also the same ones you use to access the driver portal (my.cabcard.services).
After setting up CabCard Go, we highly recommend that you complete a 5p test transaction to confirm everything is working as expected.
Taking Payments
The CabCard app supports 2 methods of taking payment:
- Contactless
- Scan to Pay
You can start a transaction by pressing the ‘Take a payment’ button on the home screen, then enter the amount you wish to charge on the screen below.
Note - In some cases you may be directed to get setup first for these payment options:
- This can take up to an hour, but usually a lot sooner.
- If your device also does not support NFC you may also see a ‘contactless unavailable’ message instead of the contactless payment button.
1. Contactless
- If you choose to take a contactless payment, you will see the screen below when the app is ready for the customer's card or device to be tapped against your NFC reader.
Note:
- On most Android smartphones, the NFC chip is located at the back of the device.
- Please check your device's manufacturers specification if you are unsure.
- After the transaction has been processed you will see a big green tick or red cross indicating if the transaction was successful.
2. Scan to Pay
- The scan to pay option will generate a QR code for your customer to scan.
- After they have scanned, they will be directed to a secure payment link where they can enter their details and pay.
After Setup
You are now ready to take Contactless / Scan to pay payments on your Android phone.
